Feasibility or proof of concept study
Most new development projects start with a feasibility study. This offers the customer several benefits:
- Lower risks in the development phase
- Less surprises during the project
- Better end result
= Lower total cost
There are many ways to perform a feasibility study, from deep theoretical research to straightforward testing with existing platforms. Typically, a feasibility study takes 2-3 months and contains the following:
- Theoretical calculations of the sensor and measurement system
- Electromagnetic 3D simulations of the sensor structures
- Sometimes: measurements by using Senfit’s measurement instruments and bread board based on Senfit’s existing prototypes
- Project plan for the development phase with time schedule, milestones and costs
